Château Latour-Martillac is a Classified Growth of Graves in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, renowned for both its red and white wines since 1953. The estate’s name derives from a 12th-century tower that still stands today. Owned by the Kressmann family since 1930, it has become a benchmark for balance, elegance, and terroir expression. The vineyard covers around 9 hectares for whites, planted mainly with Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, and 45 hectares for reds, featuring Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Gravel-rich soils deposited by the ancient Garonne provide excellent drainage and minerality, shaping wines of depth and refinement. Today, Tristan and Loïc Kressmann lead the estate, blending tradition with modern precision. Their focus on meticulous vineyard management, careful vinification, and expressive varietal character has earned Latour-Martillac a place among the most respected producers in Bordeaux, offering wines that age gracefully while retaining vibrancy and freshness.
