In 1762, the great niece of Pierre des Mesures de Rauzan married the Marquis de Terme, who gave his name to the vineyards of his wife’s dowry. The estate was acquired in 1935 by the Seneclauze family, who still own and manage it today. The Seneclauze brothers strive for quality, managing the vineyards plot by plot with eco-friendly techniques. Grapes are handpicked and meticulously sorted twice before vinification. Chateau Marquis de Terme wines are aged for 16 months, exclusively in French oak barrels.
