CH SMITH HAUT LAFITTE ROUGE 14

The Château Haut-Lafitte and its vineyard rest in a clearing surrounded by a thick forest. In the South-East of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the wine is a Cru Classé de Graves. Already in 1365, a certain Verrier du Bosq acquired the property to grow vines. In the 18th century, a Scottish merchant, Georges Smith, bought the property and gave it his name. In the 1855 classification, Château Smith Haut Lafitte received the title of Grand Cru classé.
