CONTERNO FANTINO BARBERA D’ALBA VIGNOTA 23

Conterno Fantino is a wine producer based in Piedmont in northwest Italy. It was established by Claudio Conterno and Guido Fantino in 1982, and is based on a hillside close to the village of Monforte d’Alba. The focus of the estate falls to four key grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Chardonnay.”VIGNOTA” is produced entirely from Barbera grapes all harvested and selected manually in the period from late September to early October. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration take place in contact with the skins in stainless steel tanks horizontally for about 6 – 8 days. Subsequently the wine ages in second passage barriques for about 10 months. This is a certified wine and is obtained from organic agriculture.
