Isole e Olena’s flagship, Cepparello, was introduced in 1980, prior to a change in DOC regulations that allowed for a monovarietal Sangiovese; thus, it effectively served as a pioneer of the pure Sangiovese movement.The wine is matured for about a year before bottling. It is then released after 3-4 months aging in the bottle.

AÂ clean and fresh perfumed nose of red cherry and strawberry. It is medium bodied and boasts copious floral, minty red berry and red cherry flavours of lovely purity, with a smooth yet vibrant texture nicely firmed by an edge of acidity.
