Here the cool and restrained nose is derived more from the red side of the fruit spectrum along with background notes of earth, humus and oak toast. The succulent but very punchy middle weight flavors possess a sleek mouthfeel that carries over to the focused and youthfully austere finale where a touch of warmth appears. This compact and firmly structured effort will need to develop better depth to merit the upper end of my projected range.
