Domaine Albert Morot produces 10 appellations, farmed organically on 8 hectares (20 acres), which presents Beaune and its terroirs through a common denominator.
The Greeks called the holly “agria” (wild plant). The Romans latinised this into agrifolium, aquifolium. This plot may have been given this name because it was covered by thorny plants before it was planted with vines.
Located next to the famous Clos des Mouches, in the middle of the slope, Les Aigrots faces east.

A higher-toned nose displays a note of freshly crushed cherry to the spicy dark pinot fruit-scented aromas. There is good detail and vibrancy if not quite the same density to the stony middle weight flavors that exhibit solid if not exceptional depth on the mildly warm finale.
