Silver Heights is a family-run vineyard established by Gao Lin in 1999, then passed on to his daughter Gao Yuan (also known as Emma) who received her enology training at the Ecole d’Oenologie in Bordeaux. The relatively small-scale vineyard lies between the western part of Helan Mountain and the eastern part of Yellow River, with an altitude of from 1,100 to 1,300 meters above sea level.
Silver Heights vineyard’s new collection “Jiayuan” expresses the purity of Ningxia’s Helan mountain foothills and shares Emma’s passion for minimal intervention winemaking. Fermented using only wild yeasts naturally blooming in the vineyard, the wines show a raw beauty born holistically from our ecosystem.
With deep color and a vivacious bouquet, the wine shows aromatic wild-flowers and blackberries. On the palate generous layers of mixed bramble, sweet herbs, and dried rose petals. Lingering with savory acidity.
