Domaine Chapuis is based on 170 years of family tradition at the foot of the Corton hill in Burgundy. Claire and her brother Pierre represent the 6th generation. They combine tradition and modernity in the search for the expression of the 8 appellations of the domain spread over 11 hectares.
The Corton hill lies to the North of the end of the Côte de de Nuits where vines mingle with stone quarries. The vineyards form a kind of amphitheater which is not found elsewhere in the Côte. On the Southern side of the appellation, the dark soils are made up of limestone debris while those on the Northern side, the soils are mainly pebbly. The wines are smooth and distinguished.

The wine prances out with showy notes of violets, kirsch, and black raspberries, leading to hints of dark chocolate and aniseed with a waft of dried leaves. The medium-bodied palate delivers mouth-filling red berry and floral layers with a solid backbone of fine-grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing long.
